Two flight attendants were injured, including one who was taken to hospital in an ambulance, after a passenger jet to Vancouver was rocked by turbulence Thursday evening. A spokesperson for Air Canada says flight AC1035 from Miami encountered turbulence along its seven-hour route to Vancouver International Airport. There were 92 passengers aboard the Boeing 737 flight, which landed Vancouver airport at around 10:30 p.m. None of the passengers were injured, according to the airline. British Columbia Emergency Health Services spokesperson Rachelle Brown says paramedics were contacted “about an incident on board an inbound flight” at approximately 9:10 p.m. “Two bike squad paramedics and an ambulance with primary care paramedics responded to the scene and assessed two patients,” Brown said in an emailed statement. “Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition.” The other injured flight attendant was released after medical assessment at the airport, according to Air Canada. A spokesperson for the Vancouver Airport Authority deferred questions about the incident to the airline, but said the flight landed safely, without further incident.
